Kit's free plan runs to 10,000 subscribers, which reframes this comparison before it starts. GetResponse's entry plan is $19 a month for up to 1,000 subscribers — its page puts it plainly: prices 'are bracketed by list size, starting at $19 per month for unlimited messages to 1,000 subscribers.' For a creator with 4,000 subscribers who wants to write and send, one of these costs nothing.
The picture changes if you are buying capability rather than capacity. Kit's paid Creator plan is $33 a month at 1,000 subscribers, rising to $66 on Pro. GetResponse's ladder above Starter goes to Marketer at $59 and Creator at $69, and those tiers buy a different class of product — segmentation, automation, ecommerce features that Kit does not compete on. Comparing $33 to $19 is fair; comparing $33 to $59 is not, because you are no longer buying the same thing.
