Software prices
move at night.
We catch them.
Every morning we read 156 pricing pages across five countries and write down what they said. Dated, checkable, never estimated.
The Wicketry SaaS Price Index: +7.9% — the median confirmed price change since 25 Aug 2026, across 11 matched movements at 3 of the 156 tools tracked.
How this number is computed, and what it refuses
How it is computed. A movement counts only where a confirmed change holds the same number of prices before and after, each pair in the same currency — so every figure is a price compared with the price it replaced, on the vendor's own page, with both readings and both dates recorded. 8 of the 11 matched movements rose and 3 fell, between -51.7% and +107.1%; the mean is +19.5% and the median is the headline because a mean over a base this size follows its extremes. What is refused: readings not yet confirmed by a second clean read; plans that appeared or were withdrawn, which change a ladder rather than a price; ladders that did not move one-for-one; and weighting of any kind, because the record holds no revenue or seat counts. It is an index of observed list-price movement across 3 of 156 tracked tools — not a claim about what the market spends.

Each category page states what “best” can honestly mean, then names a tool per axis — cheapest way in, real free plans, local-currency billing — with every figure dated and linked to its source.
