wick·et·ry /ˈwɪkɪtri/ n. — the craft of choosing the right small door

Software compared on the record.

Every day we record the pricing pages of business software — every plan, every quiet change. Our comparisons are built on that record: dated facts with a source on every row, from a site that doesn’t sell any of the software it compares.

How the record works

Vendors change prices quietly and the old page vanishes. We keep it.

1 · Track

A bot reads each vendor’s public pricing page every day and stores what it says — status, prices, and a snapshot when anything changed.

2 · Compare

Comparisons are built from that data: X vs Y with real price history and dated rows — not adjectives, not affiliate copy.

3 · Stay fresh

When a vendor changes a price, every page that cites it is flagged the same day and shows the new date — or says openly that it’s stale.

“The price you saw last month is evidence. We kept it.

Independence, in writing

The commissions pay for the tracking. They buy nothing else.

  • No payment is accepted for rankings, placements, or verdicts — from anyone
  • Some outbound links earn us a commission. They are marked, and no number on the page depends on them
  • Every comparison names what we could not verify
  • Corrections are dated and stay on the page — history is never rewritten
  • We compare software. We do not sell it, host it, or consult for the vendors on these pages

Why write this down? Because every comparison site says “independent”. A written list you can hold us to is worth more than the word.

Sensible questions

Where does the data come from?

From the vendors’ own public pricing pages, recorded daily. Every fact links its source and shows the date we read it. Nothing is quoted from third-party reviews.

Why trust this over a review site?

We are not a review site. There are no user reviews to buy and no scores to sell. A recorded price is either on the vendor’s page on that date or it is not — you can check us against the source on every row.

What do you cover?

Email & marketing tools first — 25 vendors under daily tracking now. Categories are added as the tracker grows, and the coverage list lives on the method page.

How do you make money?

Marked commission links on some outbound clicks, and a small amount of technical studio work (about). Rankings and numbers are not for sale — see “Independence, in writing” above.
